충남 서산시가 2025년 하반기 수시평가 결과 총 20건의 우수 행정과제를 선정했다. 이번 평가는 지난 1년간 시가 추진한 주요 시책 중 시민 체감도, 혁신성, 확산 가능성 등을 중심으로 이뤄졌다.
평가는 실·과·사업소 부문(11건)과 읍·면·동 부문(9건)으로 나뉘어 진행됐으며, 시민의 삶에 실질적인 변화를 가져온 정책들이 높은 점수를 받았다.
실·과·사업소 부문 최우수상은 투자유치과의 ‘석유화학 산업위기 선제대응지역 지정’이 차지했다.
서산시는 전국 두 번째로 지정받으며, 석유화학 산업의 위기에 선제적으로 대응해 지역 산업 경쟁력 약화를 최소화하고 지속 가능한 산업 구조 전환 기반을 마련한 점이 높은 평가를 받았다.
우수과제로는 미래전략담당관의 ‘한국생명공학연구원 서산분원 타당성조사 통과’가 선정됐다. 시는 이 사업이 미래 성장동력으로 꼽히는 바이오산업 육성의 발판이자 연구개발 중심 혁신도시로 도약하는 계기가 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
또한 스마트정보과의 ‘부춘산 스마트 안전산책로 조성’도 우수과제로 뽑혔다. 시는 부춘산 등산로에 스마트 조명과 방범시설을 설치해 안전한 시민 여가 환경 조성에 기여했다는 평가를 받았다.
이 밖에도 농업지원과 ‘집중호우 침수 농기계 무상 수리’ ,산림공원과 ‘어울광장 조성’ ,상하수도과 ‘노후 상수관망 정비사업 논스톱 추진’ 등 시민 체감형 행정사례 8건이 장려과제로 이름을 올렸다.
읍면동 부문 최우수상은 운산면의 ‘극한 호우 극복을 위한 주민 참여형 대응’이 선정됐다. 폭우 피해 시 지역 주민과 공무원이 협력해 대응체계를 구축한 점이 호평을 받았다.
우수상에는 성연면의 ‘저출산 극복을 위한 연령대별 맞춤 정책 추진’, 장려상에는 수석동의 ‘생활밀착형 공간 조성 및 어르신 참여 프로그램’, 인지면의 ‘둔당천 무지개공원 조성’이 선정됐다. 이와 함께 대산읍·부석면·팔봉면·부춘동·석남동은 지역 여건에 맞춘 혁신행정으로 ‘혁신 노력상’을 수상했다.
서산시는 오는 12월 31일 종무식에서 부서별 수상자에게 표창을 수여할 계획이다.
이완섭 서산시장은 “이번 우수과제들은 산업위기 대응과 미래 산업 육성, 시민생활 편의 증진 등 다양한 분야에서 행정 역량을 보여준 결과”라며 “앞으로도 시민이 변화를 체감할 수 있는 정책 추진에 더욱 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.

The Investment Attraction Division's "Designation as a Preemptive Petrochemical Industry Crisis Response Zone" won the grand prize in the Office/Department/Business Office category.
Seosan City was the second city in the nation to receive this designation, and was highly praised for proactively responding to the petrochemical industry crisis, minimizing the weakening of regional industrial competitiveness, and establishing a foundation for a sustainable industrial restructuring.
The Future Strategy Officer's "Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology Seosan Branch Feasibility Study Passed" project was selected as an outstanding project.
