고양특례시가 교육발전특구 사업의 성과를 시민들과 공유하며 미래교육도시로의 비전을 제시했다.
고양특례시는 지난 20일 고양킨텍스 제2전시장에서 '고양특례시 교육발전특구 성과 공유회'를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이날 행사에는 이동환 고양특례시장을 비롯해 임태희 경기도교육감, 시도의원, 학교 관계자, 학부모와 학생, 지역 유관기관 관계자 등 2,000여명이 참석해 성황을 이뤘다.

행사는 교육발전특구 추진 경과와 주요 성과 보고로 시작해, 송길영, 이호선, 박용후 등 전문가들의 특강이 이어졌다.
특히 관내 4개 대학과 5개 특성화고를 포함한 지역 기관들이 참여한 홍보·체험 부스가 큰 호응을 얻었다.
한국항공대학교의 미래항공모빌리티, 중부대학교의 미디어 클래스, 동국대학교의 피지컬 AI 로봇 교실, 농협대학교의 고양스마트팜 창업 농장 등 다양한 체험 프로그램이 운영됐다.
고양산업진흥원은 미디어콘텐츠 AI 창작 스튜디오를, 고양교육지원청은 지역협력 늘봄학교와 유보이음 디지털 처음학교를 선보였다.
특성화고등학교들도 저마다의 특색을 살린 부스를 운영했다.
일산고의 굿모닝 IL MONTE, 일산국제컨벤션고의 K-테마 관광, 백석고와 저현고의 자율형 공립고 2.0, 신일비즈니스고의 커스텀 키링 제작, 고양고의 반려동물 아로마 테라피와 플랜트 아트 스튜디오, 경기영상과학고의 무대아트와 미디어아트 등이 방문객들의 눈길을 끌었다.

고양시 교육발전특구는 올해 괄목할 만한 성과를 거뒀다. 지난 3월 우수 기관으로 선정돼 교육부장관상을 수상했으며, 8월에는 백석고와 저현고 2개교가 자율형 공립고 2.0으로 지정됐다.
10월에는 교육부가 실시한 교육발전특구 시범지역 운영 성과 평가에서 우수한 평가를 받아 선도지역으로 승격되며 국비 5억 원을 추가 확보하는 성과를 냈다.
시 관계자는 "교육은 도시의 내일을 바꾸는 가장 강력한 힘"이라며 "아이 한 명, 한 명의 재능을 소중히 키워 그 성장이 곧 도시의 미래가 될 수 있도록 더 나은 교육, 더 밝은 미래를 향해 나아가겠다"고 말했다.

The Goyang City Education Development Special Zone achieved remarkable results this year. In March, it was recognized as an outstanding institution and received the Minister of Education Award. In August, two schools, Baekseok High School and Jeohyeon High School, were designated as Autonomous Public High Schools 2.0.
In October, the district received an excellent evaluation in the Ministry of Education's evaluation of the pilot operation of the Education Development Special Zone, earning it a pilot status and securing an additional 500 million won in national funding.
