[브레이크뉴스 양주=김완영 기자] 경기도 양주시의 양주역은 교통 요충지로서 출퇴근 인구가 가장 많은 지역으로 양주역세권개발사업지구내 토지 준공은 되었지만, 건축은 아직 이루지지 않아 차량 통행과 사람 통행이 거의 없는 그냥 텅빈 도로인데도 양주시는 지난 12월 15일부터 주차단속을 실시했다.
더욱이 양주역세권개발지구내 차량 진입로를 막아놓아 차량 통행을 할 수 없는데도, 주차단속으로 텅 빈 도로에 양주역 이용 시민들의 불편을 주고 있다.
이에 시민 A 씨는 "양주시장은 양주역의 혼잡한 차량 주차에 관심이 없다. 차량 통행을 위한다면, 차량 통행 필요성이 있다면 모르겠으나, 차량 진입로도 막아놓은 상태에서 주차 단속을 한다는 것은 시민들의 불편에 대한 고민이 전혀 없다. 더욱이 옆 부지는 양주시소유의 주차관련시설부지인데도 그냥 막아놓고 있다"라며 시민을 위한 행정의 아쉬움과 탁상행정을 토로했다.
