북구청은 행정안전부가 전국 지방자치단체를 대상으로 실시한 ‘2025년 주소정책 업무 추진 평가’에서 우수기관으로 선정, 국무총리상을 수상했다고 00일 밝혔다.

도시공원 내 도로명 부여로 위치 식별 정확성을 높였고, 내구연한이 지난 노후 건물번호판 정비를 통해 주소정보 신뢰도도 개선했다. 안전 취약지역에는 기초번호판과 야간 LED 건물번호판을 설치하는 등, 야간 시인성을 강화하고 생활 안전과 편의 향상에 집중했다.
또, 실효성 있는 도로명주소 홍보를 지속적으로 펼치며 주민들의 인식 개선에도 나섰다. 주소정보가 일상에서 더욱 자연스럽게 활용될 수 있도록 한 점도 좋은 평가를 받아 수상에 기여했다는 분석이다.
행정안전부 주관 대규모 판매시설 주소 세분화 공모사업에도 참여했다. 대구농수산물도매시장 내 상가별로 상세주소를 부여해 방문객의 길 찾기 편의성을 높였고, 도로명주소를 기반으로 지역 상권 활성화에도 도움이 됐다는 설명이다.
배광식 북구청장은 “이번 수상은 주민 안전과 생활 편의를 최우선으로 두고 주소정보 정책을 추진한 결과”라며 “앞으로도 구민 실생활에 도움이 되는 선진 주소정보 서비스를 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
