파주시가 주민참여예산제 운영 성과를 공유하고 주민 중심의 예산 편성 방향을 제시했다.
파주시는 지난 19일 시청 대회의실에서 '2025년 파주시 주민참여예산 성과공유회'를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이날 행사에는 주민참여예산위원회 위원과 관계 공무원 등 80여 명이 참석했다.
행사는 주민참여예산제 발전 유공자 표창을 시작으로, 2025년 추진 사업 우수사례 발표, 향후 제도 개선 방안 논의 순으로 진행됐다.

올해 주민참여예산으로 추진된 사업 중에서는 '청석초 인근 어린이 보호구역 안전펜스 설치 사업'과 '운정5동 꽃정원(산책길) 조성사업'이 우수사례로 선정됐다.
이들 사업은 주민의 실제 수요를 반영해 주민 안전 강화와 생활환경 개선, 공동체 활성화에 기여했다는 평가를 받았다.
2026년도 파주시 본예산에 반영된 주민참여예산은 지난해 114억 원에서 143억 원으로 22% 증액됐다.
이는 주민참여예산위원회가 후보사업에 대한 주민 의견을 수렴하고 현장 심의를 통해 꼭 필요한 사업을 선정한 결과다.
특히 사업 구성에서 눈에 띄는 변화가 나타났다.
농로 포장 등 소규모 기반시설 개선 중심이었던 기존과 달리, 환경·청소년·복지·안전 등 주민 생활과 밀접한 분야로 사업이 다양화됐다.
생활밀착형 사업 예산 비중은 2025년 35%에서 2026년 68%로 대폭 확대되며 주민 체감도가 높은 사업 위주로 예산이 편성됐다.
