파주시가 지역 예술인들과의 직접 소통을 통해 실질적인 문화정책 개선에 나선다.
파주시는 지난 23일 운정행복센터 다목적홀에서 한국예술문화단체총연합회 파주지회(파주예총) 회원들과 함께 '파주예총 이동시장실'을 개최했다고 밝혔다.
186번째를 맞은 이번 이동시장실에는 이상주 파주예총 지회장을 비롯해 산하 8개 지부 회원 40여 명이 참석했다.

이 자리에서 지역 예술인들은 현장에서 체감하는 주요 건의사항과 정책 개선방안에 대해 허심탄회하게 의견을 나눴다.
참석자들은 예술인 창작공간 및 전시예술 전용공간 조성, 예술 단체 지원 규모 확대, 보조금 평가 기준 개선 등 다양한 의견을 제시했다.
한 참석자는 "그동안 시에 직접 전달하기 어려웠던 의견을 자유롭게 건의할 수 있어 의미 있는 시간이었다"며 "지역 예술인들과 함께 성장할 수 있는 실질적인 문화 정책이 마련되기를 바란다"고 말했다.
김경일 파주시장은 "지역 예술인 한 분 한 분의 이야기가 곧 파주시 문화의 현재이자 미래"라며 "오늘 제시된 의견들을 면밀히 검토해 현장과 함께 호흡하는 문화 정책을 꾸준히 추진해 나가겠다"고 밝혔다.
파주시는 이번 이동시장실에서 수렴한 의견을 바탕으로 지역 예술 발전을 위한 구체적인 정책 방안을 마련할 예정이다.
