【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=수도권 지역 연기 전공의 경쟁률이 꾸준히 오르고 있는 가운데, 대경대학교 남양주캠퍼스 연기예술과가 2026학년도 정시모집에서 총 13명을 선발한다. 연기예술과는 29일부터 정시모집 원서 접수를 시작한다고 밝혔다.
이번 정시에서는 연기, 연출, 극작, 예술경영 등 각 전공별로 1~2명씩을 최소 선발할 예정이며, 연기 전공의 선발 비중이 높은 편이다.
정시 전형은 일반전형과 특별전형(일반고·특성화고·대학 자체)으로 나뉜다. 일반고 학생은 일반고 특별전형, 특성화고 학생은 특성화고 특별전형에 지원할 수 있다. 또 연기 또는 공연예술 분야에서 뛰어난 재능을 보인 학생이나, 고교 및 예술단체의 추천을 받은 경우, 대학 자체 특별전형을 통해 전공 면접과 실기 평가(100%)만으로 선발이 가능하다.
현장에서 활동 중인 연극·드라마·영화 분야의 전문인력은 정원 외 특별전형을 통해 5명을 추가로 선발한다. 연기예술전공 실기시험은 자유연기와 화술을 공통으로 평가하고, 특기는 선택사항이다. 예술경영·극작·연출 전공 지원자에겐 각 분야의 기본 상식과 창의성, 이해도를 평가하는 심층면접이 진행된다.
올해 1·2차 수시모집에서 대경대 연기예술과는 정원 50명 중 37명을 선발했으며, 평균 경쟁률은 9대1을 기록했다. 합격자들의 만족도 역시 높은 수준을 보이고 있다. 대경대 남양주캠퍼스 연기예술과는 경기 북부권 내 연기 전공 대학 중 상위권 경쟁력을 갖춘 것으로 평가받고 있다.
김정근 연기예술과 교수는 “올해 수시모집에는 예술고 출신 및 연기·뮤지컬 분야에서 뛰어난 재능을 가진 학생들의 지원이 두드러졌다”고 말했다.
1996년 연극영화과로 출발한 대경대 연기예술과는 내년 학과 창설 30주년을 맞는다. 전국 단위 학과로 성장한 이후, 남양주캠퍼스 개설에 맞춰 명칭을 ‘연기예술과’로 변경해 연극, 방송, 뮤지컬 분야 전문인 양성에 집중하고 있다.
3년제 과정 이수 후, 1년의 전공심화과정(공연예술과)을 거치면 4년제 학위 취득도 가능하다. 올해 남양주캠퍼스에서는 20여 편의 공연이 제작됐으며, 영상제, 대경무대전, 모노페스티벌 등 다양한 공연예술 축제도 지속적으로 열리고 있다.
김건표 교수는 “실기평가에서는 기계적으로 연기를 설정하기보다, 지원자 자신만의 개성과 감각을 자연스럽게 드러내는 것이 중요한 평가 기준”이라고 조언했다.
한편, 대경대 연기예술과 정시 원서 접수는 내년 16일까지 진행된다.

During this year's first and second rounds of admissions, the Department of Acting Arts at Daekyung University selected 37 out of 50 students, achieving an average competition rate of 9 to 1. The satisfaction of successful applicants is also high. The Department of Acting Arts at Daekyung University's Namyangju Campus is considered one of the most competitive acting universities in the northern Gyeonggi region.
Professor Kim Jeong-geun of the Department of Acting Arts stated, "This year's admissions round saw a notable influx of applications from arts high schools and students with exceptional talent in acting and musical theater."
Established in 1996 as the Department of Theater and Film, the Department of Acting Arts at Daekyung University will celebrate its 30th anniversary next year. After growing into a nationwide department, the name was changed to the "Department of Acting Arts" in conjunction with the opening of the Namyangju Campus, focusing on training professionals in theater, broadcasting, and musicals.
After completing the three-year program, students can complete a one-year specialized course (Department of Performing Arts) to earn a four-year degree. This year, the Namyangju Campus produced over 20 performances, and the department also regularly hosts various performing arts festivals, including the Film Festival, the Daegyeong Stage Festival, and the Mono Festival.
Professor Kim Geon-pyo advised, "In the performance assessment, the most important criterion is not mechanically setting performances, but rather naturally expressing the applicant's individuality and sensibility."
