브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= KG모빌리티(KGM)가 정통 픽업트럭 ‘무쏘(MUSSO)’를 새롭게 선보이며 국내 픽업 시장 공략에 나선다.
KGM은 지난 29일부터 이틀간 경기 고양시 익스피리언스 센터 일산에서 미디어 프리뷰 행사를 열고 신형 ‘무쏘’의 주요 사양과 상품성을 공개했다고 31일 밝혔다. 신차는 내년 1월 가격 공개 후 본격적인 판매에 돌입할 예정이다.
신형 무쏘는 국내 최초 SUT(Sports Utility Truck) 모델인 ‘무쏘 스포츠(2002)’의 헤리티지를 계승한 오리지널 픽업으로, 디자인과 파워트레인, 데크, 서스펜션 등을 다양화한 멀티 라인업을 통해 고객의 라이프스타일과 활용 목적에 맞춘 선택이 가능하도록 구성됐다.

웅장한 외관과 도심형 ‘그랜드 스타일’ 운영
무쏘는 KGM의 디자인 철학 ‘Powered by Toughness’를 바탕으로 정통 픽업 특유의 강인한 이미지를 강조했다. 전면에는 수평형 LED 센터 포지셔닝 램프와 굵직한 DRL, 스퀘어 타입 범퍼와 라디에이터 그릴을 적용해 존재감을 높였다. 측면부는 볼륨감 있는 캐릭터 라인과 휠 아치 가니쉬로 역동성을 살렸으며, 후면에는 대형 KGM 레터링과 Full LED 리어 콤비램프를 적용했다.

실내는 픽업 특성을 고려해 조작 편의성과 안정성을 강화했다. 12.3인치 디지털 클러스터와 KGM 링크 내비게이션을 적용했으며, 전자식 변속 레버(SBW)와 전자식 파킹 브레이크(EPB)를 통해 공간 활용성을 높였다.

디젤 2.2 LET 엔진은 6단 자동변속기와 조합돼 최고출력 202마력, 최대토크 45.0kg·m를 발휘한다. 가솔린 2.0 터보 엔진은 아이신 8단 자동변속기와 결합돼 최고출력 217마력, 최대토크 38.7kg·m의 성능을 제공한다.

무쏘는 ‘롱데크’와 ‘스탠다드 데크’ 두 가지 타입으로 운영된다.
롱데크는 길이 1,610mm, 폭 1,570mm, 높이 570mm로 최대 1,262ℓ의 적재 공간을 확보했으며, 파워 리프 서스펜션 적용 시 최대 700kg까지 적재할 수 있다. 스탠다드 데크는 1,011ℓ의 적재 공간과 최대 400kg 적재가 가능해 일상과 레저 활용에 적합하다.
