브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= KB국민은행이 부채로 어려움을 겪는 취약계층과 소상공인의 경제적 재기를 지원하기 위해 새도약기금에 총 562억원을 출연하며 금융권 최대 규모로 참여했다.
KB국민은행은 이번 출연을 통해 장기 연체채권을 매입·소각하거나 채무조정을 지원하는 ‘새도약기금 지원사업’에 적극 협력할 계획이라고 밝혔다. 새도약기금은 해당 재원을 활용해 과도한 채무 부담으로 어려움을 겪는 이들의 신용 회복을 돕고, 정상적인 금융 생활 복귀를 지원하는 역할을 맡는다.

한편 KB국민은행은 취약계층 지원을 위해 다양한 금융·비금융 프로그램도 함께 운영하고 있다. 지난 17일 서울과 인천에 ‘KB희망금융센터’를 개점해 채무조정 및 신용상담 서비스를 제공하고 있으며, 사단법인 한국EAP협회와 연계한 ‘마음돌봄 상담 서비스’를 통해 심리적 지원도 병행하고 있다. 이를 통해 채무로 인한 부담을 완화하고 고객들이 건강한 일상과 경제활동을 회복할 수 있도록 돕고 있다.
