브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 연임에 성공한 임종룡 우리금융그룹 회장이 올해 종합금융 체제 강화를 핵심 과제로 제시하며 은행·보험·증권을 3대 축으로 한 계열사 경쟁력 제고와 시너지 확대를 주문했다.
임 회장은 2일 신년사를 통해 "올해 그룹의 경영 목표를 미래동반성장을 주도하는 우리금융으로 정하고, 생산적 금융·AX(인공지능 전환) 선도·시너지 창출을 3대 중점 전략 방향으로 수립했다"고 밝혔다.
그는 "기업의 성장 단계 전반을 투자와 융자로 폭넓게 지원하며, 생산적 금융을 우리금융이 앞서 나갈 수 있는 핵심 강점으로 삼아 속도감 있게 추진해 나가겠다"고 강조했다.
AX와 관련해서는 "심사, 상담, 내부통제 등 핵심 영역에서 AX 성과를 임직원 모두가 체감할 수 있도록 실행의 깊이를 한 단계 더 끌어올려야 한다"며 "디지털 자산을 둘러싼 제도 변화에 선제적으로 대응하고, AX를 통해 축적한 데이터와 AI 역량을 기반으로 고객의 일상을 담는 디지털 신사업을 확대해 우리금융과의 접점을 넓히고 미래 경쟁력을 키워가겠다"고 말했다.
또 임 회장은 종합금융 체제의 경쟁력 강화를 강조하며 "은행·보험·증권을 중심으로 그룹 전반의 경쟁력을 높이고, 시너지 기반의 지속 가능한 성장을 가속화하겠다"고 밝혔다. 이어 "금융의 3대 축인 은행·보험·증권을 포함한 모든 그룹사는 업권별 핵심 사업 경쟁력을 지속적으로 강화하는 동시에, 그룹 차원의 협업이 실질적인 성과로 이어질 수 있도록 실행력을 한층 더 높여야 한다"고 당부했다.
아울러 그는 "종합금융 체제에서만 구현할 수 있는 새로운 시너지 영역으로 확장해 보다 종합적이고 입체적인 금융 솔루션을 제공해야 한다"며 "자회사별 전문성과 역량이 결집된 그룹 시너지를 바탕으로 지속 가능한 성장을 이루고, 종합금융그룹다운 저력을 더욱 공고히 해 나가겠다"고 강조했다.
