한중도시우호협회에 따르면, 중국 당 기관지 인민일보가 2일 시진핑 주석 신년사와 관련해 권기식 한중도시우호협회장 등 국제인사들의 인터뷰를 보도했다. 인민일보는 이날치 3면 톱 기사에서 권 회장의 인터뷰 내용인 '중국은 세계 평화와 번영을 추진하는 든든한 힘'을 제목으로 뽑았다.
권기식 회장은 인터뷰에서 "하이난 자유무역항을 방문해 시찰한 경험을 통해 중국이 높은 수준의 대외개방을 확고히 추진하고 있다는 결의를 직접 느꼈다. 지난해 중국이 다자주의를 확고히 수호해 세계 평화와 번영을 유지하는 데 적극 기여했다"고 말했다.
