한중도시우호협회는 1월6일 치 보도자료에서 "중국 베이징의 대표 매체인 관영 신징바오(新京報ㆍThe Beijing News)가 6일 이재명 대통령의 방중 및 한중 관계와 관련해 권기식 한중도시우호협회장과의 인터뷰를 크게 보도했다“고 알렸다.

권기식 회장은 이 대통령의 상하이 방문과 관련해 "이번 방중에 한국 주요 경제인들이 대거 동행하고 경제 도시인 상하이를 방문하는 것은 한중 경제협력에 대한 이 대통령의 강한 의지가 담긴 것이다. 한중은 수출 대국이다. 경제에서 수출의 비중이 큰 만큼 자유무역에 대한 협력이 중요하다. 또한 상하이 임시정부 청사를 방문하는 것은 독립정신을 고양하고 군국주의와 제국주의에 반대하는 이 대통령의 의지를 보여주는 것"이라고 강조했다. 그는 또 "한중 문화교류는 양국 국민간 우의를 증진시키는 것은 물론 문화산업의 발전에도 큰 도움이 될 것이다. 디지털 아트와 음악ㆍ영화ㆍ전통예술 분야의 협력이 중요하다. 또한 미래세대인 청소년 교류도 보다 활발히 이루어져야 한다고 본다. 청년이 한중 우호의 미래다."라고 말했다.
