충남 서산시의 새로운 100년을 상징할 신청사의 구체적인 모습이 시민들 앞에 공개됐다. 서산시는 신청사 건립 설계 공모 당선작인 ‘타임 스케이프 서산(Time Scape Seosan)’의 모형과 영상을 시청 본관 로비에서 전시한다고 밝혔다.
이번 전시의 주인공인 ‘타임 스케이프 서산’은 단순한 건축물을 넘어 서산의 역사적 흐름을 공간적으로 재해석한 작품이다. 옛 서산읍성에서 시작해 현재의 청사, 그리고 새로운 부지까지 이어지는 시간의 궤적을 하나의 축으로 형성한 것이 특징이다.
당선작은 직선형 보행광장인 ‘타임 코리도(시간의 회랑)’ ,다양한 축제의 장이 될 ‘서산광장’ ,입체적 보행 공간인 ‘타임 스텝’ 등을 배치해 시민들이 자유롭게 휴식하고 교류할 수 있는 열린 공간을 지향했다. 특히 청사 지붕은 전통 관아문의 처마 곡선을 현대적인 감각으로 재해석해 서산만의 정체성과 아름다움을 담아냈다.
