동두천시, 어린이집 노후 CCTV 전면 교체로 ‘안심 보육도시’ 실현

[브레이크뉴스 동두천=김완영 기자] 경기도 동두천시는 영유아 안전 강화와 보육환경 개선을 위해 ‘2026년 관내 어린이집 노후 CCTV 교체 지원 사업’을 본격 추진한다고 밝혔다. 이번 사업은 노후화된 CCTV를 최신 고화질 시스템으로 전면 교체해 보육시설 안전관리 체계를 강화하기 위한 것이다.

 

어린이집 아동학대 사건이 지속적으로 발생하는 가운데, CCTV는 아동학대 예방에 효과적일 뿐 아니라 사건 발생 시 조기 발견과 경찰 수사 등에도 중요한 역할을 하고 있다.

 

시는 어린이집 수요조사를 바탕으로 2개년에 걸쳐 노후 CCTV 교체 비용을 어린이집당 최대 200만 원까지 전액(100%) 지원할 계획이다. 올해는 노후도가 높은 어린이집 20개소를 우선 선정해 총 4천만 원의 예산을 전액 시비로 편성했다.

 

이번 노후 CCTV 교체 지원을 통해 원아 감소 등으로 운영에 어려움을 겪고 있는 어린이집의 재정적 부담을 완화하고, 보다 안전한 보육환경 조성에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
