‘세계시장대화·하얼빈(World Mayors Dialogue·Harbin)’에 따르면, 빙설을 매개로 세계 도시가 소통하는 국제 행사 ‘세계시장대화·하얼빈(World Mayors Dialogue·Harbin)’이 1월 6일 중국 헤이룽장성 하얼빈에서 막을 올렸다. 이번 행사는 1월 8일까지 사흘간 진행된다.
주최측은 “이 행사에는 한국 부천시를 비롯해 캐나다 에드먼턴시, 독일 마그데부르크시, 그리스 할란드리시, 태국 치앙마이시 등 여러 나라 도시의 시장과 부시장, 대표단이 참석했다.”고 전했다.
참가자들은 행사 기간 동안 하얼빈빙설대세계(哈爾濱冰雪大世界), 중앙대가(中央大街), 하얼빈공업대학교 항공우주관(哈爾濱工業大學 航天館) 등 하얼빈을 대표하는 주요 명소를 직접 방문하며 도시의 문화적 매력과 혁신 역량을 체험한다. 또한 빙설 조각 제작 체험, 컬링 체험, 무형문화재 수공예 프로그램 등 다양한 체험형 일정도 마련돼 하얼빈의 빙설 문화와 창의적인 도시 이미지를 생생하게 전달한다.
행사와 연계해 열리는 ‘2026 하얼빈 국제 빙설 경제 박람회’는 글로벌 산업 연계 플랫폼으로서 국제 도시 간 문화 교류는 물론 산업 협력과 실질적인 경제 협력 성과 창출을 목표로 한다. 이를 통해 빙설 자원을 도시 발전의 새로운 성장 동력으로 전환하고, 국제 협력의 실질적 기반을 강화할 계획이다.
이와 함께 행사 기간 중에는 ‘세계시장대화 하얼빈 제안’이 공식 발표될 예정이며, 대형 교향곡 《문명송(文明頌)》 관람 등 다양한 문화 교류 프로그램도 진행된다.
주최 측은 이번 행사를 계기로 중국과 해외 도시 간 전방위적인 교류와 협력이 한층 심화되고, 빙설을 매개로 한 국제 협력 모델이 새로운 글로벌 도시 협력의 방향을 제시할 것으로 기대하고 있다.

According to the "World Mayors Dialogue: Harbin," the international event where cities around the world communicate through ice and snow opened on January 6th in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, China. The event will run for three days until January 8th.
The organizers stated, "Mayors, deputy mayors, and delegations from cities around the world, including Bucheon City, South Korea; Edmonton City, Canada; Magdeburg City, Germany; Halandri City, Greece; and Chiang Mai City, Thailand, attended the event."
During the event, participants will visit Harbin's key attractions, including the Harbin Ice and Snow World, Central Street, and the Harbin Institute of Technology Aerospace Museum, experiencing the city's cultural charm and innovative capabilities. A variety of hands-on activities, including ice and snow sculpture workshops, curling experiences, and intangible cultural heritage craft programs, will vividly showcase Harbin's ice and snow culture and creative city image.
The "2026 Harbin International Ice and Snow Economic Expo," held in conjunction with the event, will serve as a global industry networking platform, aiming to foster cultural exchanges between international cities, as well as industrial cooperation and tangible economic outcomes. Through this, the Expo aims to transform ice and snow resources into a new growth engine for urban development and strengthen the foundation for international cooperation.
Additionally, the "World Market Dialogue Harbin Proposal" will be officially announced during the event, and various cultural exchange programs, including a performance of the large-scale symphony "Ode to Civilization," will also be held.
The organizers anticipate that this event will further deepen comprehensive exchange and cooperation between China and overseas cities, and that the international cooperation model centered on ice and snow will suggest a new direction for global city cooperation.
