㈜두원중공업은 총 383억 원을 투자해 2만281㎡ 부지에 연면적 1만5천253㎡ 규모의 7개 공장동을 신축, 자동차 에어컨 컴프레서를 생산해 미국 등 해외로 수출하는 기업이다.
두원중공업은 안정적인 투자와 고용 창출을 통해 지역경제 활성화에 크게 기여하고 있다.
시는 이번 현장 방문을 통해 우주항공국가산업단지의 본격 가동과 첫 입주기업의 안정적인 정착을 적극 지원하고, ㈜두원중공업의 성공적인 입주 사례가 국가산단의 신뢰성과 투자 안정성을 대외적으로 입증하는 계기가 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
