진천군, '26년 농기계 임대료 50% 감면 혜택 연장

 【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자= 충북 진천군은 농업인의 경영 부담 완화를 위해 시행 중인 농기계 임대료 50% 감면 혜택을 2026년까지 연장한다고 8일 밝혔다.

  이번 연장 결정은 농자재 가격과 인건비 상승 등으로 농업 경영 여건이 지속적으로 악화하고 있는 현실을 반영해, 농업 현장의 부담을 경감하기 위해 추진됐다. 

  지난 코로나 발생 이후 2020년 4월부터 추진해 온 농기계 임대료 감면 정책이 농업인들로부터 높은 호응을 얻었으며, 지난 6년간 5억 3천만원을 감면했다.

  감면 대상은 군 농기계 임대사업소에서 운영 중인 모든 임대 농기계로, 관내 농업인은 물론 중부 4군 공유도시(진천·음성·증평·괴산) 농업인도 혜택을 받을 수 있다.

  이를 통해 군은 농기계 구매가 어려운 소규모·고령 농가의 영농 활동을 실질적으로 지원하고, 적기 영농 실현과 농업 생산성 향상에 이바지할 것으로 기대하고 있다.

  남기순 군 농업기술센터 소장은 “농업인의 경영 부담을 줄이기 위한 현장 중심 정책의 하나로 농기계 임대료 감면을 2026년까지 연장하게 됐다”며 “앞으로도 농업인이 체감할 수 있는 실질적인 지원 정책을 지속적으로 추진해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
