[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시가 대한민국을 넘어 동북아시아의 거점도시로 도약하기 위한 미래 25년의 청사진을 완성했다.
시는 12일 홍태용 시장과 간부공무원 등 60여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘김해 VISION 2050 중장기 발전계획’ 최종보고회를 개최하고, 도시의 미래를 바꿀 핵심 전략을 공식 발표했다.
이번 계획은 (재)김해연구원이 2024년 9월부터 1년 3개월간 진행한 심층 자료조사와 현장 의견수렴, 전문가 자문을 바탕으로 도출한 결과물로 ‘가야의 역사와 미래의 혁신이 공존하는 도시, 김해’를 새로운 미래 비전으로 제시했다.
특히 단순한 외형적 성장을 넘어, 시민의 삶의 질이 기술 혁신과 조화를 이루는 ‘시민 중심 성장(Citizen-Centered Growth)’을 모든 정책의 최상위 가치로 설정한 것이 이번 계획의 핵심이다.
구체적인 실행방안으로 경제공간과 문화사회 2개 정책그룹 아래 ▲산업·경제·일자리 ▲문화·관광·복지 ▲도시·교통·물류 ▲환경·녹지·안전 ▲교육·체육·행정 등 5대 분야, 총 35개 주요 사업을 구성해 김해 도시 체질의 근본적인 혁신을 예고하고 있다.
이번 계획의 가장 핵심적인 동력은 산업·경제 부문의 대전환에 있다.
시는 김해의 미래 먹거리를 책임질‘핵심 전략산업’으로 스마트 물류·로봇·반도체, 지능형 의생명·의료기기, 미래 모빌리티, 액화수소, 신재생에너지를 선정했다.
이를 중심으로 고부가가치 산업 클러스터를 구축하고 관련 인프라 확충과 앵커 기업 유치에 행정력을 집중해 동남권의 경제 엔진 역할을 수행할 방침이다.
더불어 관내 기업들의 수출 역량을 체계적으로 육성해 2050년까지 수출액을 현재 대비 10배 이상 증대시킨다는 혁신적인 로드맵을 발표했다.
이를 위해 기업 역량별 맞춤형 수출 지원 사업을 확대하고, 수출 유관기관과의 글로벌 네트워크를 강화해 김해를 명실상부한 ‘글로벌 수출산업도시’로 키워낼 계획이다.
또 첨단산업으로의 전환에 맞춰 지역 인재들이 김해에 안정적으로 정착할 수 있도록 글로컬 대학과 연계한 맞춤형 일자리 교육 프로그램을 가동, ‘산업-교육-고용’이 선순환하는 생태계를 재설계한다.

아울러 시민들이 즉각적으로 체감할 수 있는 교통복지 정책인 ‘김해형 대중교통 무료화’도 추진한다.
일정 금액 자부담 후 초과분을 지역화폐인 ‘김해사랑상품권’으로 환급해 주는 방식으로, 시민의 이동권을 보장하는 동시에 지역 내 소비를 촉진해 소상공인 매출 증대까지 꾀하는 선순환 모델이다.
‘VISION 2050 중장기 발전계획’은 시민 대상 설문조사를 비롯해 민관 해커톤대회, 분야별 전문가 자문, 실·국 간담회 등 다양한 참여형 의견 수렴과정을 거쳐 계획의 실효성과 현장성을 극대화했다.
