<브레이크뉴스 양주=이용하 기자>양주시 관내 중학생들이 고사리손으로 직접 만든 과일청을 지역 사회에 기부하며 따뜻한 나눔의 가치를 실천했다.
양주 백석중학교, 덕계중학교, 옥빛중학교가 함께하는 교육복지우선지원사업 학생 연합 동아리는 지난 13일, 직접 담근 과일청 100병을 백석읍 행정복지센터에 전달했다고 밝혔다. 이번 활동은 학생들이 이웃과 연결된 공동체 의식을 배우고 나눔의 보람을 직접 체험할 수 있도록 기획된 지역 연계 프로그램이다.
특히 이번 나눔의 주인공인 학생들은 재료 준비부터 과일 손질, 설탕 배합에 이르기까지 전 과정을 직접 도맡으며 구슬땀을 흘렸다. 활동에 참여한 학생들은 “우리가 직접 만든 과일청이 어려운 이웃에게 전달된다는 생각에 더 큰 책임감이 생겼다”며, “준비 과정이 쉽지는 않았지만 친구들과 함께 정성을 나눌 수 있어 무척 즐겁고 보람찬 시간이었다”고 입을 모았다.
