[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 밀양시는 장애인 일상생활 편의 도모를 위한 2026년 장애인편의시설 설치비용 지원사업을 추진한다고 15일 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 장애인들의 이용 빈도가 높지만 장애인 편의시설이 부족한 음식점, 편의점, 이·미용실, 카페 등 소규모 공중이용시설에 설치비용을 지원하는 사업이다. 

지원 대상으로 선정된 업체는 편의시설 설치비용의 80%, 최대 400만원까지 지원받을 수 있다.

시는 지난 2024년 관련 조례를 제정해 안정적인 지원 근거를 마련했으며, 2025년에는 7개소에 총 2,000만원을 지원했다. 

2026년도 사업 신청 기간은 15일부터 2월 3일까지이며, 지원을 희망하는 사업주는 기간 내에 신청서를 제출하면 된다.

시 관계자는 “지난해 사업 참여자들의 만족도가 매우 높았던 만큼, 올해도 내실 있는 사업 추진을 통해 장애인들이 생활 속에서 차별 없이 일상생활을 이어갈 수 있도록 촘촘한 장애인 복지 사업을 수행하겠다”고 전했다.
