브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= KT는 지난 15일 서울 종로구 KT광화문빌딩WEST에서 KT디지털인재장학생들이 지난 한 해 동안 진행한 인공지능(AI) 실무 프로젝트 등의 성과를 공유하고, 졸업생을 대상으로 수료식을 진행했다고 16일 밝혔다.
KT디지털인재장학생 프로그램은 정보기술(IT)과 AI 분야 진출에 꿈을 가진 대학생에게 등록금을 지원하고 실무 중심의 성장 경험을 제공하는 KT그룹의 대표 장학사업이다. 1988년 시작 이후 올해까지 38년간 약 1만2000여 명의 대학생에게 장학금을 지원하며 미래 AICT 인재를 꾸준히 양성해오고 있다.
올해 성과공유회에는 종로구청·성동구청 등 지방자치단체의 높은 관심을 받았던 ‘지역사회 문제 해결 AI 프로젝트’를 비롯해 장학생들이 지난해 수행한 AI 관련 우수 활동 사례가 발표됐다.
KT는 장학생들이 AI 실무 역량과 문제 해결 능력을 더욱 확장할 수 있도록 올해도 다양한 실무형 프로젝트와 장학생 네트워크 강화 프로그램을 등을 지속적으로 운영할 계획이다.
KT는 이달 30일까지 2026년도 KT디지털인재장학생을 신규 모집중이다. AI·ICT 분야에 관심과 잠재력을 가진 대학생이라면 누구나 지원할 수 있으며 자세한 정보는 KT그룹희망나눔재단 홈페이지에서 확인할 수 있다.

At this year's Achievement Sharing Session, the scholarship recipients presented outstanding examples of AI-related activities they undertook last year, including the "Community Problem Solving AI Project," which garnered significant attention from local governments such as Jongno-gu Office and Seongdong-gu Office.
KT plans to continue operating various practical projects and programs to strengthen the scholarship recipient network this year to further expand the scholarship recipients' AI practical skills and problem-solving abilities.
