【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=홍준표 전 대구시장이 한동훈 국민의힘 대표를 향해 “더 이상 한국 정치판에 있어서는 안 될 존재”라며 원색적인 비판을 쏟아냈다.
홍 전 시장은 17일 자신의 페이스북을 통해 “생각이 있는 언론이라면 한동훈을 감싸지 못할 것”이라며 한 대표의 정치적 책임과 자격을 정면으로 문제 삼았다.
그는 먼저 “한동훈은 윤석열과 함께 문재인 정권 시절 박근혜 탄핵 이후 보수진영을 궤멸시킨 화양연화 정치검사였다”고 규정했다. 이어 “당시 천여 명 이상의 보수 인사들이 끌려갔고, 수백 명이 부패가 아닌 정치적 이유로 구속됐으며 다섯 명은 극단적 선택을 했다”고 주장했다.
홍 전 시장은 “조선제일검이라고 떠받들던 보수 언론들은 이재용 18개 혐의 전부 무죄, 양승태 48개 혐의 전부 무죄를 어떻게 설명할 것인가”라고 반문하며, 과거 수사의 정당성에도 의문을 제기했다.
또 “윤석열 대통령의 배려로 벼락출세해 법무부 장관이 된 뒤 수백 명의 검사를 동원해 이재명 수사를 했지만 결국 실패하지 않았느냐”며 “망한 수사였다”고 평가했다. 비대위원장 시절에 대해서도 “공천을 농단하고 자기 선전에만 몰두하다 총선 참패를 불러왔다”고 비판했다.
홍 전 시장은 “총선 참패의 잉크도 마르기 전에 당원들을 현혹해 당대표가 된 뒤 윤석열 대통령과 반목하며 정치적 갈등만 일삼았고, 그 결과 비상계엄 사태를 초래했다”고 주장했다. 이어 “비상계엄을 막은 것은 한동훈이 아니라 당시 야당이었던 민주당과 국민들”이라고 강조했다.
그러면서 “비상계엄을 초래한 장본인이 소수 측근들을 거느리고 아직도 당에서 분탕질할 일이 남았느냐”며 “한 치 앞도 내다보지 못하는 식견으로 겉치레 정치에만 몰두하는 나르시스트는 이제 사라져야 한다”고 직격했다.
홍 전 시장은 또 “윤석열 대통령 역시 싫어하지만, 앞으로 오랫동안 영어의 몸이 될 처지라 말을 아낀다”며 “다시는 이런 변종 정치검사들이 한국 정치판에 나타나서는 안 된다”고 덧붙였다.
같은 날 홍 전 시장은 별도의 페이스북 글을 통해 국민의힘 내부를 향한 작심 발언도 이어갔다. 그는 “당대표는 목숨을 건 단식을 하는데 시장이라도 해보겠다고 날뛰며 등 뒤에 칼을 꽂는 영남 중진들, TK통합을 방해해 놓고도 그 자리를 계속 차지하려는 인사들, 60대가 넘어서도 소장파 행세를 하는 정치인들, 권력 따라 아부하며 정치 생명을 연명하는 수도권 일부 중진들, 아무 쓸모없는 상임고문단, 두 번의 탄핵 주범을 추종하는 종물들”을 열거했다.
홍 전 시장은 이들을 “홍수 때 한강에 떠내려오는 정치 쓰레기”에 비유하며 “그들을 보기 싫어 그 정치판에서 나왔다”고 밝혔다. 이어 “이런 인사들을 청산하지 못하면 그 당에는 희망이 없다”고 국민의힘을 향해 강도 높은 경고를 던졌다.
