박 전 시장의 구상은 세 가지 축으로 구성된다. 우선 오천을 ‘해병대의 본향’으로 재정립해 해병대 기념관과 회관, 전우 만남의 광장을 조성하고, 전 세계 해병 예비역과 훈련병이 찾는 국가 호국 플랫폼으로 육성한다는 계획이다.

같은 날 문충운 환동해연구원장은 보도자료를 통해 ‘분야별 디지털 대전환’ 공약을 발표하며 차별화된 비전을 제시했다. 문 예정자는 “앞으로 도시의 경쟁력은 전적으로 디지털 전환에 따라 결정될 것”이라며 “디지털 전환은 산업·환경·복지·교육 전반에 순기능을 불어넣고, 디지털 일자리 창출을 통해 청년 인재 유출을 막는 핵심 전략”이라고 밝혔다.
