[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 상수도 분야 국내 최고 기술력을 갖춘 태성후렉시블과 신기술 개발 공동 발명 협약을 체결했다고 22일 밝혔다.
양 측은 주철관 등 다양한 관로에 반영이 가능한 부착형 벨로우즈 계측장치를 개발해 특허 출원 중이다.
현재 개발 중인 원격계측장치는 IoT(사물인터넷)를 활용, 지반 정보를 사전 습득해 연약지반, 지반침하에 따른 변형을 미리 예측 가능하게 해 향후 수도 인프라는 물론 지하시설물 관리에 새로운 패러다임을 가져올 것으로 기대된다.
신축관(주름관)의 변형을 계측하는 신기술은 의학에서 쓰이는 인공관절의 움직임 원리를 상수도 관로에 접목해 개발하게 됐다.
이에 앞서 시와 태성후렉시블은 지반 침하에 따른 안전사고 예방과 안정적인 수도 공급을 위해 함께 지난 2024년‘신축관 변형 원격계측시스템’을 개발해 공동 특허 등록했다.
시는 아이디어와 필드 테스트를 제안했으며 업체는 탄탄한 기술력을 바탕으로 수많은 실험을 통해 2024년 등록된 특허건에 이어 추가로 특허 출원하게 됐다.
현재 현장 상용화를 목표로 제품의 완성도를 높이기 위해 연구 중이다.
홍태용 시장은 “이번 협약을 계기로 각자의 전문성과 역할을 잘 살려 이 기술이 국내 최고 수준의 상수도 신기술로 자리 잡고 민관 협력의 좋은 사례로 남을 수 있길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 안전한 수돗물 공급에 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
