[브레이크뉴스 양주=김완영 기자] 경기도 양주시가 시장실에서 ‘지역교육협력을 위한 양주시 - 경기도교육청 경기공유학교 업무협약’을 지난 21일 체결했다.
이번 협약은 지역사회와 교육청이 교육지원사업의 협력을 강화하고 지역자원을 활용한 다양한 학습 기회를 제공하기 위해 마련됐다.
협약에 따라 각 기관은 ▲교육지원사업 자문 및 프로그램 기획·발굴 ▲교육지원사업 추진을 위한 교육공동체 역량 강화 ▲경기공유학교 지역교육협력 네트워크 기반 파트너십 구축 ▲양주시 교육자원의 경기공유학교 연계·활용 등에 상호 협력하기로 했다.
‘경기공유학교’는 학교 안팎의 다양한 지역교육자원을 공유·연계해 학생의 다양한 학습 기회를 제공하고, 학생맞춤교육을 실현하는 경기도교육청의 지역교육협력 플랫폼이다.
양주시 관계자는 “이번 협약은 지역과 교육청이 함께 아이들의 성장을 책임지는 협력체계를 구축했다는 데 큰 의미가 있다”며 “양주시가 보유한 다양한 교육자원을 경기공유학교와 연계해 학생들이 지역 속에서 배우고 성장할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 전했다.
