[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 사천시는 관내 미취업 청년의 구직활동을 지원하기 위해 최대 200만원의 수당을 지급한다고 23일 밝혔다.
이에 시는 '2026년 청년구직활동수당 지원사업'대상자를 오는 26일부터 2월 13일까지 모집한다.
자격기준은 공고일 기준 사천시에 주민등록을 둔 사람으로 나이는 18세 이상 39세 이하, 최종학력이 졸업·중퇴·수료자 중 기준중위소득 180% 이하인 미취업자를 대상으로 하며 사천시청 지역경제과를 방문해 관련서류를 제출하면 된다.
이번 사업을 통해 시는 관내 미취업 청년 20명을 선발해 매월 50만원씩 4개월 간 총 200만원의 구직활동수당을 지원할 계획이며 지원금은 체크카드로 지급된다.
지원금은 교육비, 도서구입비, 시험응시료 등 구직활동과 사회진입에 필요한 비용에 사용할 수 있으며 유흥·도박업, 귀금속, 주점 등 구직활동과 무관한 업종에서는 사용할 수 없다.
박동식 시장은 "올해는 작년과 비교해 더 많은 청년들이 지원받을 수 있도록 자격기준 중 기준중위소득을 180% 이하로 변경한 만큼 청년들의 많은 관심과 신청을 바라며 청년구직활동수당 지원사업이 구직에 어려움을 겪는 청년들에게 실질적인 도움이 되기를 바란다"고 말했다.
