[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시가 김해시만의 비전과 전략을 수립해 고령친화도시 조성사업을 적극적으로 추진해오고 있다.
시는 2023년 9월 세계보건기구(WHO)의 고령친화도시 인증을 받아 WHO가 제시한 고령친화도시 8대 영역을 기반을 삼고 있다.
이에 지난 23일 시청 소회의실에서 ‘고령친화도시 재인증 연구용역 최종 보고회’를 개최했다.
이번 연구용역은 제1기 세계보건기구(WHO) 고령친화도시 인증이 오는 9월 만료돼 재인증을 목표로 추진됐다.
이날 보고회에는 홍태용 시장과 신대호 부시장을 비롯해 관계부서장, 고령친화도시 조성위원회 위원, 모니터단 등 50여 명이 참석했다.
보고회에서는 지난 3년간 김해시 고령친화도시 조성사업의 추진 성과를 분석하고, 제2기 고령친화도시 추진을 위한 중장기 정책 방향과 전략을 제시했으며 향후 추진과제에 대한 다양한 의견을 교환했다.
시는 지난해 22개 부서에서 총 2,814억 원의 예산을 투입해 경로당 행복식탁 보급과 스마트 경로당 조성, 세대 간 소통 프로그램, 경남K-패스 지원 등 69개 사업을 추진해 어르신의 삶의 질 향상을 도모했다.
제2기 중장기 실행계획은 WHO 8대 영역을 기본방향으로 ‘모두가 행복한 고령친화도시 김해’를 비전으로 설정하고 72개 사업을 5년간 추진할 예정이다.
시는 이번 연구용역 결과를 바탕으로 오는 2월경 WHO에 재인증 신청서를 제출하며 올해 9월 재인증 완료를 목표로 하고 있다.
홍태용 시장은 “고령친화도시는 단순히 어르신만을 위한 도시가 아니라 모든 세대가 조화롭게 공존하는 도시를 의미한다”며 “재인증 준비에 만전을 기해 시민 모두가 행복한 도시를 만들어 가겠다”고 밝혔다.
