[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 사천시가 전 직원을 대상으로 우주항공산업에 대한 이해를 높이고 공직자의 정책 역량을 강화하기 위해 NASA 태양계 홍보대사인 폴 윤(Paul Yun) 교수를 초청해 우주항공 분야 특강을 진행했다고 26일 밝혔다.
지난 23일 열린 특강은 'NASA의 우주탐사 소개 및 우주경제의 이해'를 주제로, NASA의 주요 우주탐사 프로그램과 세계 우주산업의 흐름, 우주기술이 산업·경제 전반에 미치는 영향 등을 중심으로 진행됐다.
폴 윤 교수는 실제 NASA 프로그램과 국제 협력 사례를 바탕으로 우주탐사가 미래 산업과 도시 경쟁력에 갖는 의미를 설명하며 참석자들의 이해를 도왔다.
