울진군에 따르면 2025년 북부권에 위치한 죽변 어울림센터가 정식 개관한 데 이어, 2026년 1월 2일부터는 남부권 평해 어울림센터 행복만남교류관 내 놀이방이 임시 개관하면서 울진 전역에 아이돌봄 기반이 본격적으로 마련됐다.
이번 북부·남부 거점 확충으로 그동안 거리와 접근성 문제로 이용이 어려웠던 아이돌봄과 보육, 놀이 공간이 군 전역으로 확대되며, 지역 간 돌봄 격차 해소에 실질적인 전환점이 마련됐다는 평가다.
