【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항 동지고등학교 총동문회가 24일 오후 5시 30분 포항 더퀸 6층 연회장에서 ‘2026년도 정기총회 및 회장단 이·취임식’을 열고 새 회장단 출범을 공식화했다.
행사에는 이명박 전 대통령의 축전을 비롯해 하성해 동지교육재단 이사장, 김정재 국회의원, 김일만 포항시의회 의장, 박희정 더불어민주당 포항 남구·울릉지구당 위원장, 이창우 포항시 북구청장 등 지역 주요 인사들이 참석했다. 또한 이동업·박용선·서석영·김진엽·손희원 경북도의원과 포항시의원, 포항시 경제산업국장·복지국장, 해병대전우회 및 각급 학교 동문회장단, 동문들이 대거 참여했다.
이날 총회에서는 제45대 최해곤 회장이 이임하고 제46대 고한중 회장이 취임했다. 최 이임회장은 재임 기간 동안 동문회 활성화와 네트워크 강화, 모교 지원 확대 등에 기여한 공로를 소개하며 동문들의 협조에 감사를 전했다.
김정재 국회의원과 김일만 포항시의회 의장은 축사를 통해 동지고 총동문회의 전통과 결속력을 높이 평가하고, 새 회장단의 출범을 축하하며 동문회와 모교 발전을 위한 협력을 약속했다.
고한중 신임회장은 취임사에서 동문 간 화합과 단결을 강조하며, 세대를 아우르는 소통 확대와 모교 발전, 지역사회 공헌 활동을 강화하겠다는 의지를 밝혔다.
한편 총동문회는 정기총회를 통해 2026년도 사업계획과 예산안을 승인하고, 동문 화합 강화와 모교 지원 확대, 지역사회 봉사 활동을 주요 과제로 설정했다.

At the general meeting, the 45th President, Choi Hae-gon, stepped down and the 46th President of Gohan Middle School took office. Outgoing President Choi acknowledged his contributions to revitalizing the alumni association, strengthening networks, and expanding support for his alma mater during his term, and expressed gratitude for the alumni's cooperation.
In their congratulatory remarks, National Assemblyman Kim Jeong-jae and Pohang City Council Chairman Kim Il-man praised the tradition and solidarity of the Dongjigo Alumni Association, congratulated the inauguration of the new leadership team, and pledged cooperation for the development of the association and his alma mater.
In his inaugural address, the incoming President of Gohan Middle School emphasized harmony and unity among alumni and expressed his commitment to expanding communication across generations, fostering the development of his alma mater, and strengthening community service activities.
Meanwhile, the Alumni Association approved the 2026 business plan and budget at the regular general meeting and set priorities for strengthening alumni unity, expanding support for his alma mater, and engaging in community service activities.
