파주시 새마울지도자협의회가 경기도 31개 시군을 대상으로 한 종합평가에서 우수한 성적을 거뒀다.
파주시는 지난 23일 경기도새마을회관에서 열린 '2026년 새마을지도자경기도협의회 정기총회'에서 새마을지도자파주시협의회가 경기도 시군종합평가 부문 장려상을 수상했다고 27일 밝혔다.

새마을지도자경기도협의회는 매년 도내 시군을 대상으로 조직 관리, 재정 자립, 사업 평가 등 새마을운동 추진 방향에 따른 중점과제를 분야별 지표로 평가해 우수 시군을 선정하고 있다.
파주시협의회는 지난 한 해 동안 지역사회를 위한 다양한 활동을 전개하며 좋은 평가를 받았다.
주요 활동으로는 탄소중립 실천을 위한 '새벽종 줍깅데이' 운영, 하천변 청결 활동, 사랑의 연탄 나눔, 사랑의 집 고쳐주기, 취약계층 김장 나누기 등이 있다.
특히 환경보호와 취약계층 지원을 아우르는 나눔·봉사 활동을 적극적으로 추진한 점에서 높은 점수를 받은 것으로 알려졌다.
신경재 새마을지도자파주시협의회장은 "새마을 가족분들의 헌신적인 노력으로 뜻깊은 상을 받게 됐다"며 "앞으로도 '함께 새마을, 미래로·세계로'라는 표어를 바탕으로 지역사회 발전을 위한 온기 나눔을 실천하겠다"고 수상 소감을 밝혔다.
