파주시 문산도서관은 지난 24일 사할린 한인 박승의 씨를 초청해 진행한 강연 ‘사할린에서 온 목소리’를 시민과 동포들의 높은 관심 속에 성공적으로 마무리했다고 밝혔다.

이번 강연은 사할린에서 살아온 한인들의 역사와 삶을 직접 들을 수 있는 자리로 마련됐으며, 총 2회에 걸쳐 진행된 행사에는 시민과 사할린 동포 등 80여 명이 참석해 객석을 가득 채웠다.
강연에서 박승의 씨는 사할린 한인 사회의 형성과 이동의 과정, 그리고 그 속에 담긴 개인의 기억을 진솔하게 풀어냈으며 특히 강제이주와 귀환이라는 역사적 사건이 한 개인의 삶에 남긴 흔적, 그리고 그 경험이 오늘날 파주에서의 일상으로 어떻게 이어지고 있는지를 이야기하며 청중에게 깊은 울림을 전했다.
참석자들은 “책이나 뉴스로만 접했던 사할린 한인의 이야기를 직접 들을 수 있어 감동 깊었다”, “이웃의 삶을 통해 함께 살아간다는 의미를 다시 돌아보게 됐다” 등 다양한 소감을 전하며 강연의 의미를 되새겼다.
이번 행사는 문산도서관이 현재 진행 중인 기획전시 ‘세 개의 이름, 하나의 삶’과 연계돼 진행됐다. 해당 전시는 박승의 씨의 생애 기록과 개인 소장 자료를 통해 사할린에서의 삶과 영주귀국 이후의 여정을 함께 조명하고 있다.
이인숙 문산도서관장은 “사할린 한인의 역사를 과거의 이야기가 아닌, 지금 우리 지역에서 함께 살아가는 이웃의 삶으로 바라보는 계기가 되었다”며 “앞으로도 지역의 다양한 이야기를 발굴하고 시민과 소통하는 문화의 장으로서 도서관의 역할을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.

Paju City's Munsan Library announced the successful conclusion of its lecture, "Voices from Sakhalin," on the 24th, hosted by Sakhalin Korean Park Seung-ui, to strong interest from citizens and Korean residents.
This lecture was designed to provide an opportunity to hear firsthand about the history and lives of Koreans who have lived in Sakhalin. The two-part event was attended by approximately 80 citizens and Korean residents of Sakhalin, filling the auditorium.

This event was held in conjunction with the Munsan Library's ongoing special exhibition, "Three Names, One Life." Through the life records and personal collection of Park Seung-ui, the exhibition illuminates his life in Sakhalin and his journey after his permanent return to Korea.
Lee In-sook, Director of Munsan Library, stated, "This exhibition provided an opportunity to view the history of Sakhalin Koreans not as a story of the past, but as the lives of our neighbors living together in this region today." She added, "We will continue to serve as a cultural hub for the library, uncovering diverse stories from the region and connecting with its citizens."
