<브레이크뉴스 의정부= 이용하 기자> 의정부시 보건소가 연일 이어지는 매서운 한파로부터 건강 취약계층을 보호하기 위해 팔을 걷어붙였다.
의정부시 보건소는 영하의 기온이 지속됨에 따라 독거노인 등 방문건강관리 대상자들의 겨울철 안전과 건강을 지키기 위해 총력을 기울이고 있다고 밝혔다.
겨울철 한파는 고혈압, 당뇨 등 만성질환을 앓고 있는 고령자에게 치명적이다. 추운 날씨에 장시간 노출될 경우 혈관이 수축하여 심근경색, 뇌졸중 등 심뇌혈관질환 발생 위험이 급격히 높아지기 때문이다.
이에 보건소는 방문보건팀 소속 전문 간호사 7명을 투입해 집중 관리에 나섰다. 이들은 보건소에 등록된 건강 취약계층에게 수시로 1:1 안부 전화를 걸어 건강 상태를 세밀하게 점검하고, 한파 대비 행동 요령과 한랭질환 예방 수칙을 교육하는 등 빈틈없는 모니터링을 실시하고 있다.
