파주시 한울도서관은 지난 26일 장애 특화 서비스 확대와 이용자 맞춤형 독서문화 지원을 위해 관내 주요 장애인 유관 기관 및 단체와 업무협약식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약에는 경기도시각장애인연합회 파주시지회, 발달장애인 방과후활동 제공기관인 마음풍경, 운정다누림장애인복지관 등 3개 기관이 새롭게 참여했으며, 이를 통해 한울도서관은 기존 협약 기관인 경기도지체장애인협의회 파주시지회, 공립특수학교 자운학교, 놀잇다사회적협동조합, 더메이크사회적협동조합 파주지회, 장애인거주시설 조이빌리지를 포함해 총 8개 지역 장애인 유관단체와 협력 네트워크를 구축하게 됐다.
한울도서관은 이번 업무협약을 계기로 장애인 당사자와 현장을 잘 아는 유관단체가 사업 계획 수립 단계부터 참여할 수 있도록 협력 구조를 강화하고, 실제 수혜자의 요구와 특성을 반영한 맞춤형 장애 특화 프로그램을 기획해 보다 실질적인 독서문화 서비스 제공에 나설 계획이다.
이재면 교하도서관장은 “이번 업무협약을 통해 지역 장애인 단체와의 긴밀한 소통 체계를 구축함으로써 장애인의 독서문화 접근성과 참여 기회를 더욱 확대해 나가겠다”며 “협력과 연대에 기반한 장애 특화 사업이 질적으로 한 단계 더 도약하는 계기가 되기를 기대한다”고 말했다.
