【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 중구청이 신천과 대신동 일대에서 주민 대상 자전거 수리센터 운영을 내달 2일부터 다시 시작한다고 28일 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 자전거 이용을 활성화하고, 주민들의 경제적 부담을 덜기 위해 마련된 생활밀착형 행정 서비스다.
자전거 수리센터는 주민들의 안전한 자전거 이용을 돕고, 수리 비용 부담을 낮추기 위해 운영된다. 센터에서는 기본 점검과 경미한 수리를 제공하며, 타이어 펑크 수리, 림(휠) 교정, 브레이크 조정 등 주요 항목은 무료로 점검된다. 다만, 부품 교체가 필요한 경우 부품 비용은 이용자가 부담해야 한다. 전기자전거나 고가 자전거는 수리 대상에서 제외된다.
운영 시작일은 2026년 2월 2일이다. 신천 자전거 수리센터는 신천둔치 동신교와 신천교 사이에 위치하며, 대신동 센터는 달구벌대로 1921에 자리한다. 신천 센터는 월·화·목·금·토요일 오전 10시부터 오후 4시까지, 대신동 센터는 월요일부터 금요일까지 같은 시간에 문을 연다.
현장 방문 시 자전거와 신분증을 지참해야 하며, 가능하다면 수리가력이나 증빙 자료도 함께 가져가면 편리하다. 이용자들이 몰릴 경우 대기표가 발급되며, 필요할 경우 재방문도 가능하다.
류규하 중구청장은 “자전거 수리센터 운영은 주민들이 보다 안전하고 편리하게 자전거를 이용할 수 있도록 돕는 생활밀착형 서비스”라며 “앞으로도 친환경 교통수단 이용을 장려하고 주민 편의를 높일 수 있는 정책을 꾸준히 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.
