28일 법조계에 따르면 서울회생법원은 지난 23일 어메이징브루잉컴퍼니에 대해 회생절차 폐지 결정을 내렸다. 법원이 정한 기한 내 회생계획안을 제출하지 못한 데 따른 조치다.
어메이징브루잉컴퍼니는 서울 성수동에서 탄생한 수제맥주 브랜드로, 이천에 대규모 공장을 가동하며 ‘편의점에서도 만날 수 있는 수제맥주’를 유통하면서 회사를 키웠다. 오뚜기와 협업한 진라거를 비롯해 다양한 브랜드와 컬래버레이션 맥주를 선보였다. 최근 인기를 끈 하이볼 제품도 발 빠르게 출시하며 주류 업계의 트렌드를 이끌었다.
서울회생법원은 결정문에서 “법원이 정한 기간 또는 연장된 기간 안에 회생계획안 제출이 없으므로, 채무자 회생 및 파산에 관한 법률 제286조 제1항 제1호에 따라 회생절차를 폐지한다”고 밝혔다. 해당 조항은 정해진 기한 내 회생계획안을 제출하지 않거나, 계획안이 관계인집회의 심리·결의에 부칠 만한 내용이 되지 못할 경우 회생절차를 폐지하도록 규정하고 있다.
