브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 정부가 피지컬 AI 분야에 2조원을 투입해 제조 현장의 지능화를 가속화하고, ‘다크팩토리’ 구축 기술을 해외로 수출하는 방안을 추진해야 한다는 의견이 제시됐다. 또 에이전틱 AI 확산에 대비해 인프라·플랫폼·솔루션을 아우르는 ‘AI 풀스택’ 전략도 본격화돼야 한다는 전문가 의견이 나왔다.
'다크팩토리'는 사람이 거의 없거나 아예 없이 운영되는 완전 자동화 공장을 뜻하는 말로, 국가 차원의 표준 모델을 만들어 실증 인프라를 깔아야 한다는 것이다. 구체적으로 피지컬 AI·로봇·제조 AI를 결합한 국가 레퍼런스 다크팩토리를 만들고 중소·중견기업이 그 모델을 활용할 수 있게 하며 완성된 시스템을 패키지로 해외에 수출하자는 전략이다.
국회 과학기술정보방송통신위원회 소속 정동영 통일부 장관(더불어민주당 전주시병)과 최형두 의원(국민의힘 경남 창원시 마산합포구)이 공동 주최하고, 정보통신산업진흥원(NIPA)이 주관한 ‘시즌2 AI G3 강국 신기술 전략 조찬포럼’이 28일 오전 국회의원회관 제1세미나실에서 열렸다.
정동영 장관은 “18회차를 맞은 시즌2 AI 조찬포럼을 종합적으로 마무리하는 자리”라며 “이 포럼이 없었다면 AI G3 도약을 위한 정부 대응은 최소 2년 이상 늦어졌을 것”이라고 말했다. 이어 “과학기술정보통신부와 산업통상자원부, 국회 상임위와 함께 시즌3 AI 조찬포럼을 이어갈 계획”이라고 밝혔다.
발제자로 나선 김정욱 삼성SDS 부사장은 미래의 에이전틱 AI에 대해 “사람의 업무를 보조하는 수준을 넘어 복잡한 업무 전 과정을 스스로 처리하는 엔드 투 엔드 방식으로 진화할 것”이라며 “사용자는 정책 결정과 결과에 대한 피드백만 담당하게 될 것”이라고 설명했다.
김 부사장은 에이전틱 AI 구현을 위해 ‘AI 풀스택’ 전략이 필수적이라고 강조했다. AI 풀스택은 클라우드와 데이터센터 등 인프라, AI 모델을 관리·최적화하는 플랫폼, 실제 업무에 적용되는 솔루션을 통합 제공하는 방식이다. 그는 “삼성SDS는 공공·기업 맞춤형 클라우드 ‘Samsung Cloud Platform(SCP)’과 기업용 생성형 AI 플랫폼 ‘패브릭스(FabriX)’, 업무 솔루션 ‘브리티 웍스’와 ‘브리티 코파일럿’을 통해 컨설팅부터 구축·운영까지 통합 서비스를 제공하고 있다”며 “현재 135개사, 58만 명 이상이 이를 활용하고 있다”고 밝혔다.
이어 이동수 네이버 전무는 “에이전틱 AI가 시험 문제를 몇 점 맞혔는지는 중요하지 않다”며 “사용자를 대신해 물건을 구매하거나 업무를 수행했을 때 실제로 비용과 시간을 얼마나 절감했는지가 핵심”이라고 실용적 가치 창출을 강조했다.
조현철 현대자동차 상무는 보스턴다이나믹스의 글로벌 로봇 전략을 사례로 들며 “반도체, 통신, 디지털 트윈, 데이터 등 4차 산업 핵심 기술을 기반으로 자동차 제조의 지능화가 확산돼야 한다”고 말했다. 그는 “기술이 외교·안보·산업의 중심이 되는 기정학적 시대에 접어들었다”며 “중국 샤오미와 화웨이 등 테크 기업의 자동차 시장 진출로 경쟁이 더욱 치열해지고 있다”고 분석했다.
박윤규 NIPA 원장은 “정부는 피지컬 AI에 2조원, 에이전틱 AI에 1000억원을 투자할 계획”이라며 “로봇을 제작·생산·운영하는 피지컬 AI는 매우 중요하고, 다크팩토리를 우리 기술로 구축해 해외로 수출하는 방안도 고민해야 한다”고 밝혔다. 이어 “에이전틱 AI 생태계와 플랫폼을 면밀히 점검해 공공과 정부 분야에서의 확산을 지원하겠다”고 덧붙였다.
공동 주최자인 최형두 의원을 비롯해 민형배·정진욱·김윤·유용원 의원 등 참석자들은 “AI 풀스택 전략은 민간과 공공 부문의 국가 AI 경쟁력을 높이는 핵심 동력이 될 것”이라고 입을 모았다.
