이 사업은 슬레이트 노후화에 따른 주민건강 피해를 예방하고 안전한 주거환경 기반 조성을 목적으로 한다.
올해는 주택 139동, 비주택 75동, 지붕개량 8동 등 총 222동, 9억 4천만원을 지원한다.
지원 대상은 지붕 또는 벽체가 슬레이트로 이뤄진 건축물로, 주택 슬레이트는 1동당 최대 700만 원까지 철거 및 처리비가 지원된다. 비주택 슬레이트는 1동당 최대 540만원 이하면 가구 유형에 상관없이 전액 지원된다.
또한 사업대상자 중 취약계층 등 우선지원가구는 주택은 전액지원, 지붕개량사업비는 가구당 최대 1000만원까지 추가 지원받을 수 있다.
다만, 과거 동일한 사업으로 지원받은 내역이 있거나 개인이 건축물 슬레이트를 임의로 사전 철거·처리했을 경우, 세금·과태료·환경개선부담금 등이 체납돼 있을 경우는 지원 대상에서 제외된다.
군은 사업 대상자 선정을 위해 오는 2월 27일까지 해당 건축물 소재지 읍·면 행정복지센터에서 신청을 받는다. 이어 우선순위에 따라 3월 중 지원 대상자를 확정해 순차적으로 슬레이트 처리를 진행할 예정이다.
