브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 국민의힘이 29일 최고위원회의를 열고 한동훈 전 대표에 대한 제명 징계안을 의결했다.
최보윤 국민의힘 수석대변인은 이날 최고위원회의를 마친 뒤 기자들과 만나 "한 전 대표에 대한 당원 징계안이 윤리위원회 의결 내용대로 최고위에서 의결됐다"고 밝혔다.
최 수석대변인은 표결 과정과 관련해 "6명의 최고위원과 당대표, 원내대표, 정책위의장 등 총 9명이 표결에 참여했다"며 "표결 내용과 찬반 여부는 비공개"라고 설명했다.
‘의결에 앞서 징계 수위를 낮춰야 한다는 논의가 있었는지’에 대한 질문에는 "최고위 사전 회의에는 배석하지 않아 내용을 알지 못한다"고 답했다. 의결 취지에 대해서는 "이미 윤리위원회에서 관련 내용이 공개된 만큼 그 부분을 참고해달라"고 말했다.
앞서 국민의힘 중앙윤리위원회는 지난 13일 늦은 저녁, 이른바 ‘당원게시판 논란’에 연루된 한 전 대표에 대해 제명 결정을 내린 바 있다.
한동훈 전 대표가 당대표 재임 시기, 당내 갈등이 극심한 상황에서 익명 당원게시판을 통해 특정 계파를 비판하거나 당 지도부·의사결정에 영향을 미치는 글들이 조직적으로 올라왔고, 이 과정에 한 전 대표 측이 직·간접적으로 관여한 것으로 결론내렸다.
