[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원상공회의소 마산경제살리기 추진위원회와 창원시, 그리고 진북산단 입주기업체협의회 소속 17개사 대표들이 28일 오전, 마산합포구 진북산업단지 내 (주)에이치엠티 회의실에서 정기총회를 열고 ‘지방균형발전법’ 개정과 ‘인구감소지역’ 지정을 촉구했다고 밝혔다.
이날 기업인들이 공동으로 목소리를 높인 핵심은 ‘지방분권균형발전법’의 맹점이다. 현행법상 창원시는 인구 100만의 대도시로 분류되어, 내부에 심각한 인구 감소를 겪고 있는 마산합포구와 같은 지역이 있음에도 불구하고 ‘인구감소지역’이나 ‘관심지역’ 지정에서 제외되어 있다.
