<브레이크뉴스 의정부= 이용하 기자> 의정부시가 병원 치료를 마친 취약계층 환자들이 집으로 돌아가기 전, 안전하게 머물며 돌봄을 받을 수 있는 '중간집(Halfway House)' 마련에 나섰다.
의정부시는 지난 27일 LH(한국토지주택공사) 경기북부지역본부에서 실무 간담회를 열고, '의정부형 케어안심주택' 조성을 위한 구체적인 협력 방안을 논의했다고 29일 밝혔다.
'케어안심주택'은 의료·돌봄 통합지원사업의 핵심 과제로, 거동이 불편하거나 독립적인 생활이 어려운 퇴원 환자가 약 6개월간 거주하며 의료와 요양, 재활 등 통합 서비스를 제공받는 임시 주거 시설이다.
이날 간담회에서 시는 입주자들의 특성을 고려해 LH 측에 까다로운 주택 조건을 제시했다. 거동이 불편한 어르신이나 환자들이 생활하는 만큼 ▲반드시 엘리베이터가 설치된 신축 건물 ▲경전철 등 대중교통 이용이 편리한 역세권 ▲누수 등 하자가 없는 쾌적한 주거 공간 등 2개 호수를 확보해 줄 것을 강력히 요청했다.
양 기관은 이번 논의를 바탕으로 올해 상반기 안에 케어안심주택 2개소를 구축하기로 합의했다. 시는 하드웨어인 주택이 마련되는 대로, 오는 4월부터 본격적인 운영에 들어갈 예정이다. 이에 앞서 2월 중에는 식사 배달, 가사 지원 등 입주자들에게 맞춤형 서비스를 제공할 전문 기관도 모집한다.
