의정부시는 지난 29일 (사)용현산업단지 기업인협의회(이하 용기협)와 신년인사회를 개최하고, 산업단지 고도화 및 지역 경제 활성화 방안을 심도 있게 논의했다고 밝혔다.
'젊은 피' 수혈한 용기협, 산업단지 현대화 박차 이번 인사회는 2026년 제9대 회장으로 취임한 이해천 회장과 신임 임원진의 인사를 겸해 마련됐다. 이 회장은 “임원진을 젊은 세대로 구성해 조직에 활력을 불어넣고, 변화하는 산업 환경에 발맞춰 산업단지의 경쟁력을 강화하겠다”는 포부를 밝혔다.

한편, 2014년 설립된 용기협은 용현산업단지 입주 기업 간 협력을 증진하고 시 기업지원센터를 수탁 운영하는 등 지역 중소기업의 경영 애로 해소를 위한 든든한 버팀목 역할을 수행하고 있다.
