[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 하동군이 민간과 손잡고 대규모 기계화 차밭을 조성하는 한편 생산된 녹차의 품질 고급화와 수출 경쟁력 강화에 나선다.
하동군은 지난 29일 지리산화개명차영농조합법인과 ‘대규모 차밭 조성 및 산업화를 위한 업무협약’을 체결했다.
이번 협약은 화개면 삼신리 일원에 4.7ha 규모의 생산형·기계화 차밭을 조성해 연간 1천 톤 녹차 생산 시대를 열겠다는 목표다.
주요 협약 내용에 따르면 하동군은 차밭 조성에 필요한 인허가 등 행정 절차와 기반 시설 확충, 브랜드 마케팅을 지원하고 법인은 자본 투자와 묘목 식재, 현대화된 생산 시스템 구축을 책임진다.
또한 지리산화개명차영농조합법인은 조성된 차밭에서 생산되는 찻잎에 대해 반드시 친환경 인증을 획득·유지해야 하며 가공·유통 시 ‘하동차&바이오진흥원 하동녹차가공공장’을 우선 이용해야 한다.
