[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 대통령 별장이 있는 거제시 저도에 올해 첫 입도가 2월 2일 시작된다.
저도는 2019년 민간 개방 이후 정기적으로 운영돼 온 관광지로 대통령 휴가지라는 상징성과 함께 자연환경을 간직한 섬이다.
저도 방문객은 궁농항에서 하루 두 차례 출발하는 유람선을 이용해 입도하게 되며 방문은 사전 예약제로 운영된다.
매주 수요일은 휴무일로 지정돼 운영하지 않는다.
섬 내부에는 대통령 별장을 중심으로 인공 백사장, 전망대, 정원형 휴식 공간, 숲길 탐방로 등이 조성돼 있다.
해송과 동백나무 군락, 장기간 자생해 온 대형 수목이 잘 보존돼 있으며 일제강점기 군사시설의 흔적도 남아 있어 자연경관과 근현대사의 흔적을 함께 살펴볼 수 있다.
전망대에서는 남해의 해안선과 거가대교를 조망할 수 있고 완만한 동선을 따라 이동하며 저도 특유의 차분한 분위기와 자연환경을 체험할 수 있다.
