고양시도시관리공사가 고양환경에너지시설의 안전관리 강화에 나섰다.
공사는 30일 고양시 생활폐기물 소각시설인 고양환경에너지시설에서 지난 29일 일산소방서와 합동으로 화재안전컨설팅을 실시했다고 밝혔다.
이번 컨설팅은 동절기 건조한 날씨로 인한 화재위험에 대비하고 소각시설의 잠재 위험요인을 사전에 파악하기 위해 마련됐다.

김진학 일산소방서장을 비롯한 화재예방과 관계자 6명과 고양환경에너지시설 직원들이 참석한 가운데 진행된 이날 컨설팅은 소각시설 운영현황 점검을 시작으로 폐기물 저장조 등 주요 현장 점검, 제어실 모니터링 체계 확인, 출탕작업 확인 순으로 이뤄졌다.
점검 결과 소방시설 및 안전관리 상태는 양호한 것으로 확인됐다.
일산소방서 관계자는 "고양시 내 소각시설이 어떻게 운영되는지 궁금했다"며 "복잡한 설비 운영 체계를 직접 눈으로 확인하며 현장 이해도를 높일 수 있는 좋은 기회였다"고 말했다.
환경에너지처 관계자는 "현장 중심의 선제적 안전 점검을 통해 시민들이 안심할 수 있는 쾌적한 환경을 만드는 것이 공사의 최우선 과제"라며 "앞으로도 유관기관과의 긴밀한 협력을 통해 무재해·무사고 사업장을 실현하는 데 최선을 다하겠다"고 강조했다.
