브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 교원그룹은 지난 1일 서울 중구에 위치한 교원 챌린지홀에서 ‘2025 교원 CQ(Creative Quotient) 창의력 대회’를 성황리에 마쳤다고 2일 밝혔다.
‘교원 CQ 창의력 대회’는 전국 초등학교 3~6학년 학생을 대상으로 수학·과학·언어 3개 영역의 융합창의력을 진단하는 대회다. 교원그룹과 서울교육대학교 교수진이 공동 개발한 평가로, 아이들의 창의적 잠재성을 진단하고 부족한 역량을 보완할 수 있도록 돕고자 기획했다.
2019년 첫 시행 이후 이번 대회까지 약 5500여 명의 학생이 참가했으며, 성적 우수자에게 지급된 누적 장학금은 총 1억5000만원에 달한다.
대회는 1차와 2차 총 두 차례에 걸친 평가로 진행됐다. 지난해 12월 21일 서울 성동구 한양대학교에서 치러진 1차 평가는 교과 과정 기반의 수학·과학·언어 개념이 융합된 지문을 읽고, 답안을 서술하는 방식으로 진행됐다.
1차 평가에서 우수한 성적을 거둬 선발된 총 60명의 학생은 지난 1일 교원 챌린지 홀에서 2차 평가에 참가했다. 120분 간 진행된 2차 평가는 특정 과제를 해결하기 위한 창의적 해결 방법을 도출하는 역량을 집중 평가했다. 특히, 이번 대회 2차 평가 참가자 중 33%가 2회 이상 응시한 누적 참가자인 것으로 나타났다.
심사는 서울교대 교수진 및 현직 교사로 구성된 7인의 심사위원단이 맡아 공정성을 높였다. 1·2차 평가 결과를 합산해 학년별로 △대상(4명) △최우수상(4명) △우수상(52명)을 최종 선정했으며, 수상자들에게는 총 3000만원의 장학금을 수여했다.
참가자 전원에게는 교원그룹과 서울교대 국제과학영재교육센터가 공동 발급한 인증서와 함께 수학·과학·언어 영역별 점수 및 보완점이 담긴 결과리포트가 제공됐다.
교원그룹 관계자는 “초등 3학년부터 6학년까지 매년 대회에 꾸준히 도전하는 학생들이 있다는 점은, 교원 CQ 대회가 단순한 경쟁의 장이 아닌 아이들의 융합적 사고력의 성장을 측정하는 지표로 인식되고 있음을 의미한다”며“급변하는 환경 속에서 미래사회가 요구하는 복합적인 문제를 해결할 수 있는 ‘융합적 사고력’을 갖춘 인재로 자라날 수 있도록 교육 생태계를 조성하는데 앞장서겠다”고 말했다.

The winners received a total of 30 million won in scholarships.
All participants received a certificate jointly issued by the Kyowon Group and the Seoul National University International Science Gifted Education Center, along with a report detailing their scores and areas for improvement in math, science, and language.
A Kyowon Group representative stated, "The fact that students from third to sixth grade consistently participate in the competition every year demonstrates that the Kyowon CQ Competition is recognized not simply as a competitive arena, but as an indicator of children's growth in convergent thinking skills."
