파주시가 건설사업 조기 발주를 위해 운영한 합동설계단이 4주간의 집중 작업 끝에 121건의 사업 설계를 완료하고 본격적인 사업 추진에 나선다.
시는 1월 5일부터 30일까지 읍면 시설직 공무원 10명으로 구성된 합동설계단을 운영했다고 밝혔다.
설계단은 파주읍 금곡1리 소하천 교량 재설치 공사를 비롯해 도로, 하천, 상하수도, 소규모 주민 참여사업 등 총 67억 원 규모의 사업에 대한 설계도면과 설계내역을 작성했다.

시는 설계가 완료된 사업들에 대해 신속한 발주 및 공사를 시행할 계획이다.
특히 설계 과정에서 지역 내 생산 자재를 우선 사용하도록 반영하고, 공사 시행 시에는 관내 업체를 적극 활용해 지역 중소기업 보호에 힘쓸 방침이다.
올해 합동설계단은 단순 설계 업무를 넘어 참여 공무원들의 역량 강화에도 주력했다.
전산설계(CAD) 교육과 현황측량 교육을 실시했으며, 한강하저터널 홍보관 및 건설 현장, 캠프하우즈 도로개설공사 교량받침대(거더) 설치 현장 등을 견학하며 실무 능력을 향상시켰다.

시 관계자는 "이번 합동설계단 운영을 통해 시설직 공무원 간 기술 교류가 활발히 이뤄졌고, 특히 설계 경험이 부족한 신규 공무원들에게 실습 중심 교육이 큰 도움이 됐다"며 "합동설계 결과를 바탕으로 주민 숙원사업을 신속히 추진해 시민 불편을 최소화하겠다"고 말했다.
