파주시가 늦은 퇴근으로 자녀 양육에 어려움을 겪는 맞벌이 가정을 위해 야간연장 어린이집을 대폭 확대 운영한다.
시는 지난 1월 문발동 소재 '하얀솜사탕어린이집'을 야간연장 어린이집으로 추가 지정하면서 관내 야간연장 어린이집을 총 102개소로 늘렸다고 3일 밝혔다.
야간연장 어린이집은 기준 보육시간인 오전 7시 30분부터 오후 7시 30분을 넘어 부모의 늦은 퇴근이나 부득이한 사정으로 추가 보육이 필요한 경우 최대 자정까지 아이를 돌보는 시설이다.
시는 야간연장 어린이집 운영을 위해 운영비와 보육교사 인건비를 지속 지원하고 있으며, 야간 시간대에도 안전하고 쾌적한 보육 환경을 제공하기 위해 정기적인 현장 점검을 실시해 서비스 질 관리에 나선다는 방침이다.
