포천시는 지난 2일 시청 회의실에서 '2026년 제1회 포천시 양성평등위원회'를 개최했다고 3일 밝혔다.
이번 위원회는 「포천시 양성평등 기본 조례」에 의거, 지난 2025년도 양성평등기금의 결산과 운용 성과를 종합적으로 점검하기 위해 마련됐다. 참석 위원들은 기금 운용의 적정성을 면밀히 심의하고 원안대로 의결했다.
이날 회의에서는 단순한 결산 심사를 넘어 실질적인 정책 제언도 이어졌다. 위원들은 양성평등 기금이 여성의 사회 참여 확대와 가족 친화적 환경 조성에 마중물 역할을 해야 한다고 입을 모았다. 특히, 보여주기식 사업이 아닌 시민들이 일상에서 체감할 수 있는 실효성 있는 사업을 발굴하고, 시정 전반에 성평등 관점을 반영해야 한다는 데 공감대를 형성했다.
