부평구에 따르면, 개폐식 방범창은 기존 고정식 방범창과 달리, 침수 등 재난·재해 발생 시 내부에서 쉽게 열 수 있는 안전시설로 인명피해 예방에 효과적이다.
지원 대상은 부평구 내 반지하주택 거주자(소유자)이며, 방범창 설치는 전액 무료로 이뤄진다.
신청을 희망하는 경우 구 누리집 ‘부평소식’을 참고해 신청서를 작성한 뒤, 건축과 또는 관할 동 행정복지센터로 제출하면 된다.
부평구는 오는 4월 중 지원 대상을 선정하고, 5월부터 설치 공사를 시작할 계획이다.
특히 지난해에 이어 올해도 본 사업에 별도 예산이 편성돼, 지원 대상이 더욱 확대될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
